While floating in water and Epson salt, the body reaches a state of deep relaxation. The deep relaxation also allows the brain to reduce its electrical activity (EEG) from around 20 – 25 HZ down to 4-8 HZ and the brain goes into a wave pattern known as Theta State.

The Theta State is where the learning process is at its highest with increased ability to visualize and increase mental focus and self – hypnosis. Most people can only achieve the Theta State while sleeping; however, while floating you can achieve this state effortlessly and can stay there for most of the float session. Both brain hemispheres become more balanced enabling floaters to use their mental powers to full potential.
